TAG QUESTION    : 

A sentence has main clause and tag. They can be an affirmative and question one.  

          Taq is as expressing the meaning in a sentence.

          In indonesia taq is “ Bukan “.

          Example  :    She is your sister  ,  isn’t she ?

Pattern      :

•        Main clause  (+)   , tag   ( - )

•        Main clause   ( - )  , tag  (+)

Kinds of Question Tag :

•     Using Auxiliary verb ( Have / Has ) , ( to be )

          -  Son hasn’t arrived there, has he ?

          -  Winda has gone to Jakarta, hasn’t she ?

          -  Lisa wasn’t buying some apples,was she?

          -  We are playing football, aren’t we ?

          -  They have visited to  Bali Nusa Indah beach hotel, haven’t the

•     Using linking Verb (to be)

          -  Dita is very beautiful,isn’t she ?

          -  They are here every day, aren’t they ?

•     Using Verb

          -   She goes to the market, doesn’t she ?

          -   You don’t understand the meaning, do you?

          -   Dika doesn’t know about that, does he ?

          -   He has a car, doesn’t he ?

•     Using Modal  Auxiliary  (can,will may, must )

   -  She can sing a song , can’t she ?

   -  They will go there, won’t they ?

   -  Tony may sleep in the bed room, mayn’t he ?

   -  Ruri and Ari must study together, musn’t they ?

Ada beberapa pengecualian :

•       I’m invited, aren’t I ?

•       I’m not the only one, am I ?

•       Everybody is there, aren’t they ?

•       Everything is Ok, isn’t it ?

•       Everyone goes there, don’t they ?

•       Nothing is wrong, is it ?

•       Nobody called you, did they ?

•       No one writes a letter to her, do they ?

•       Let’s go there, Shall we ?

•       Open the door , will you ?

•        Don’t say that again, will you ?
